Have you ever heard of a Zashiki-warashi? It's a common creature that appears in folk tales from the Tohoku region.

There is an area in our garden where the land god lives (I only found out about it 7 years after we bought our house), and one day, while the friend who told me about the existence of the land god was meditating at home, he suddenly said, "Hey, there's a child here, Hiro!" I can't see things normally, so I wondered if that was even possible, but when I asked him about it, it turned out to be a different child from the one that originally lived in the house, and that he had started living with the land god.

If there was a trigger that I could think of, perhaps it was about five years ago when a traditional priest came to my house and purified my house and land. That's what I felt.
